Panattoni hands logistics centre over to new logistics provider dadada GmbH

Panattoni, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, has handed over a logistics centre in Euskirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, to the logistics provider dadada GmbH. Dadada completed commissioning in November 2019 and now dispatches packages from Euskirchen to over 35 countries across the world for the company Fond Of, whose product universe includes rucksack and bag brands as well as a fashion label. The long-term goal of the logistics company is to establish itself firmly in the market and to handle logistics for more international clients.

The facility, built on a plot of 67,318 sq m, has a logistics space of around 39,600 sq m, 2,335 sq m office and social space, and 3,000 sq m warehouse mezzanine space. The logistics centre meets the gold standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and is located in Euskirchen at Heinrich-Barth-Strasse 11. The site is in an easily accessible position on the L182 and near to the A61 and A1.

Dadada GmbH has devised its entire goods handling operation for multiple brands. Self-programmed software solutions help with complex processes and provide value-added services. The logistics provider has taken over important product management and customer service processes for the company Fond Of on-site at the logistics centre. Here, product photos are produced in the photo studio, rejected products are repaired immediately and spare part handling is organised – among other things.

“In times of booming e-commerce, shaping customer-oriented services and thus boosting customer satisfaction is an important success factor,” emphasised Dr Oliver Steinki, CEO and co-founder of Fond Of GmbH and dadada GmbH, with regard to their move to the new distribution centre. “Euskirchen appealed to us as a location because it is very well connected. With the huge floor space of 67,000 sq m, we are extremely well equipped for further growth.”

As Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni, was keen to stress: “For us, project development means merging the various project and participant streams as well as the complex requirements of the customer into an intelligent solution. The new logistics facility is further proof that we are developing quickly and on schedule.
