Panattoni develops new Noerpel site in Odelzhausen

  • 9,800m2 freight-forwarding space and 3,000m2 office space
  • Transshipment premises for bulk goods
  • Construction completion: End of 2019

Panattoni Europe, a leading project developer of industrial and logistics properties, is currently developing a new freight-forwarding terminal with office space in Odelzhausen, near Munich, on behalf of Noerpel. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2019. With its new site in Odelzhausen, the internationally operating transport and logistics service provider is further expanding its presence in the Munich region.

The project will create around 9,800m2 of freight-forwarding space and 3,000m2 of office space on a total plot area of 44,300m2, with earthworks set to begin in February 2019. Plans for the freight-forwarding facility include 100 loading gates and 132 car parking spaces, as well as parking spaces for truck and swap bodies. The new premises have been designed to handle bulk goods.

Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Europe, described the project: “As part of a so-called fee development arrangement, we are working to develop a modern freight-handling premises that fulfils all of the client’s individual requirements. In doing so, we are drawing on our experience with the development of user-specific premises and are continuing to build on our successful collaboration with Noerpel to date.”

Panattoni completed a logistics facility for Noerpel in Elsdorf, near Hamburg and Bremen, just over a year ago. This second project follows the success of the companies’ collaboration in Elsdorf. This was confirmed by Stefan Noerpel-Schneider, Managing Director of C.E. Noerpel GmbH: “We acquired a new site in Odelzhausen and have entrusted its development to Panattoni in light of the success of our previous collaboration. Panattoni has a wealth of experience and is realising this project according to our specifications.”

The project boasts an ideal location and enjoys the support of the municipal authorities in Odelzhausen. Situated in the district of Dachau, Odelzhausen is halfway between Munich and Augsburg with direct access to the A8 autobahn and provides ideal transport links in a strong economic area. “By moving into the south of Odelzhausen’s industrial estate Noerpel – a family-owned business – is strengthening the local economy with jobs and cross-sector freight-forwarding services. The location provides ideal conditions to do so,” said Markus Trinkl, First Mayor of Odelzhausen.
